What Drives Me

I chose engineering because I love to create things. I stayed in engineering because I thrive on the challenge. Anyone can be an engineer, but not everyone can be a good engineer—someone who designs intentionally and methodically. That, in and of itself, is an art.

I still love creating things and consider myself an "Engineering Creative," blending technical knowledge with creative thinking to approach problems from a unique perspective. I've had the opportunity to refine my skills through various experiences, from crafting robots for outreach initiatives with Connections to working on my life-sized Baymax project, always pushing the boundaries of what myself and my team can achieve.

Beyond coursework and professional roles, I dedicate most of my spare time to making—from replica props to interactive robotic systems. These passion projects are what motivated me to pursue a career in robotics. The prospect of creating something that can do what we, as humans, can't is incredibly exciting to me. With robotics, we can genuinely build a better future—a future where people can work alongside robots without fear and where hazardous tasks are no longer performed by humans. Robotics, to me, holds the key to a safer future for all.
